Peter Landau
Peter has more than 40 years of insurance experience with UnitedHealth Group, MetraHealth, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and Longevity Alliance.
His experience includes claims, customer service, operations, reengineering, process improvements and account management.
He was responsible for claims and customer service for several large accounts, including the State of New York, Sears, General Electric, and AARP. He served as the Chief Operating Officer for UnitedHealth Group’s AARP Insurance and Pharmacy Services Divisions. He was responsible for building an infrastructure to support employer group sales for Ovations, the UnitedHealth Group business segment focused on the senior market, and one that had traditionally concentrated on individual sales.
At Longevity Alliance, an independent, specialized brokerage and advisory service helping Americans over age 50 navigate the financial challenges associated with living increasingly longer lives, Peter was responsible for building the health insurance component of the business, marketing health insurance products to the employer group market and managing the health insurance sales force.
More recently, Peter has provided consulting services to investment companies looking to better understand both the senior market and the employer group market, and to a major health insurance company looking to expand their Medicare Supplement marketing share.
Peter holds a B.A degree in Economics from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, along with several insurance industry designations.
