Bill Matusz
Bill Matusz has worked 40 years in the insurance business, 30 years with Prudential Ins. Co. and 10 years with United Health Care. He has held a variety of positions which included responsibility for Group Underwriting, Pricing, Actuarial Services, Compliance, Research, Product Development, Marketing and Planning.
Bill’s product involvement includes Group Life, Health, Disability, Long Term Care, and Medicare. He participated in industry groups such as America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) and the Society of Actuaries (LTC and Medicare Part D), testified before a congressional committee on Second Opinion Surgery, and met with congressional staffers and the Congressional Budget Office on Medicare related matters. The last position he held with United was Vice President Strategic Development and Group Retiree Services on the AARP account.
Bill retired in 2007 but has remained active in Health Care Reform working with firms like Tysvar. He worked with the Center for American Progress in Washington DC reviewing portions of the Patient Protection and Affordability Care Act and presented comments and rule making suggestions to the Administration and HHS.
